Keeping Accountability 101

April 29th to May 1st, 2021-

Botcon tweeted a transformer toy themed reaction and got random responses from the fandom which sparked the following response from the Botcon social media twitter account:

This in turn started a fan after fan response in the negative about the actions of doubling down and a few other fan issues with Pete which merged with BotCon issues. Between the fans who were not aware of the past credit card security leak and the ones who'd been active attendees at the time, it stirred the upset for hours and brought Pete to the platform to confront random posts by searching BotCon as the keyword. He started jumping in and out of responses calling them "lies" and "hateful words" to discredit him and the convention.

The following interactions between fans where the most prominent:

And some fans just blocked him as soon as he jumped into their twitter mentions just to stave off the drama before it even started. He jumped in and out of twitter accounts who literally posted popcorn pics and mentioned botcon in their random tweets, but he messaged them just the same to spew at them for finding it entertaining.

Pete did answer questions about BotCon and BC Productions as one fan asked. The bullet points on that information:

  • Who runs Botcon Twitter account? Multiple people including Pete.
  • Night Shining/Pete company only selling licensed BotCon merch.
  • Merch will be sold through Shopify in connection with PayPal. <--should have led with this bro.
  • He does not speak for BotCon or BC Productions.
  • Who runs/owns BC Productions? Didn't say but referred to a Magazine article being published soon from this twitter account.
  • Pete's not sure how many people run the BC Productions but he said earlier that day 8 people, but he back peddles.

When the tweets started to wane he'd post another message on his twitter account to taunt another reaction:

Once the drama died down after a few hours he spent time talking to someone? and then ended his torrent of attacks and challenging fans to a one on one confrontation with the following public apology to un-named parties. Which was then picked up by the BotCon twitter account. (But it could have been Pete who retweeted it.)

But a week later another incident followed.
