@TFOutreach

Please join and follow us on twitter! We have a lot of material on our public twitter account detailing "problem" behavior online and sometimes we even post funnies!! We are writing posts to be published soon... stay tuned! Please private message us if you want to share receipts or links to social media meltdowns from Pete Sinclair, keep him honest and unable to "gaslight" the Transformer fandom. (Or let us know about other problematic individuals online.) Next time a new fan says "Who's this Sinclair guy? Why does every body hate him? What evidence do you have that he has done what people are saying he has done?" Just point them to our blog and let the evidence speak for itself.

The Jabby Jabby of all Jabbies!

Image
Just to be clear on Pete Sinclair's stance on VACCINATION, out of his mouth specifically. He is 100% for  everyone getting the jab EXCEPT children. Even after having a very lengthy conversation on twitter with a pediatrician (you can see how that conversation went by clicking here ) which did not end with him defending his point of view well. Without having a medical background himself, or any credentials that tie him to the NIH, the CDC, or the FDA, he believes children shouldn't be vaccinated. And is completely FINE going after random grandmothers on twitter to SHAME them for such abuses to children! So does that make him half anti-vax or just anti-child-vax? Anti-child-covid-vax?? And he insists that the pandemic is now endemic, when the CDC and NIH have neither announced this nor  declared the United States free of Covid-19 hospitalizations. It's a really specific word, he's thrown it around a few times since November. "We are ENDEMIC" according to Pete. A...

The Berger Incident

A random jump into voice actor Gregg Berger's Public Facebook Page in August 2020 ! (You'll need to add him on facebook to see the post! He's very approachable and loves to talk with fans!) Pete Sinclair is the second comment in and gets into it on a beloved voice actors personal Facebook page over politics and previous BotCon experiences, there is over 130 responses! Is this a person that you want to be associated with BotCon? I hope Gregg wasn't offended and doesn't decide to just not guest at anymore fan run conventions. Followers of our blog, if you've seen any other interactions like this online in public social media sites and would like to share it with us, we'd be more than happy to feature it here so everyone can see what kind of a person Mr. Sinclair is and how it's not okay to do things like this, if he wants to have a public discourse on his own Facebook page, that's fine. But not on a well known and loved voice actor of the Transformers ...

Trolling Moments

Image
Not sure if it's the best look to pick on the one pop culture icon twitter shows a lot of love to, but then again, when you are trolling and have nothing better to do... | Direct Link |

Take a hike, man.

On November 3, 2021,  Pete showed his absolute best example of what being a better person is by attacking a random woman online about her grand-daughter getting a vaccination and a member of the Transformer fandom, who happens to be a medical professional confronts him. It goes well for the pediatrician.  Randomly being a jerk and a troll to people online in Pete's default setting… and this is the guy behind BotCon?!? This is the guy who tells the fandom to be better and to act better? Yo dude, you first? But is he for or against vaccinating? Well, maybe not children. HERE: | Direct Link | PDF | HERE:  | Direct Link | PDF | Next day HERE:  | Direct Link | PDF | (Lets not forget that at the time of these conversations, the FDA/CDC had just announced that children 5-12 were now authorized to receive the pfizer vaccination in the United States.) Pete must either work for them or know something they don’t about children’s vaccinations. (This whole inci...

In His Defense

While the ranting continues to permeate social media in Pete Sinclair's direction there is a important point that has been lost to the drama melt downs entirely. How his online store is actually going to combat the potential credit card issue of 2012 that keeps being brought up in random places online. This is one of the biggest negative points from his non-supportive critics. And in his defense, not that he's really repeated it OFTEN to the people that probably need to hear it the loudest. His store uses Shopify which is one of the best rated online, a quick google search also details that the company hires hackers to help secure it's encryption so even as the internet and hacking improves, they'll keep themselves on the cutting edge ahead of other platforms! You'd think that Pete would be more than a little eager to use this information to combat the naysayers every time they open their mouths and criticize him. And he has in fact mentioned it a handful of times ...

One Epic Implosion

Image
May 10th 2021 It's the day that many should remember going down as the Epic Online Implosion that only a select group of the fandom experienced, but will hopefully resonate with fans weeks and months to come as the moment when what was said and what actually happened proved more that it's not about what can't be dropped by the fandom but what won't go away because it demands a shift from reality into a morphed version of glory days ended that will not be given back. After a long day of confrontation on different accounts across twitter, Pete had a epic meltdown on long time twitter user Vangelus, who handled the situation as best he could. Vangelus is NOT some one who has been vocally attacking Pete, but because in Pete's mind he is sure he's in on it... he insisted that Vangelus engage him. It was uncalled for harassment and Vangelus held his own. Click here to read the resulting tweets |  Tweet from Pete that started it all..  | ..more here | ..and here | ....

Fan is Harassed off Twitter

May 10, 2021 Random online Transformers reviewer named Brentosaur posted a personal tweet on his opinion of BotCon. He did not @ at anyone but Pete and some of his supporters found and engaged with Brentosaur until he felt threatened enough to delete his twitter account to keep the harassment from continuing. Not sure if Brent was being targeted from the beginning? Pete seems to allude several times online since this interaction that there are a group of specific "bad actors" trying to soil his name and what he's built. But the list seems to keep growing and new people are being added almost every time there is a drama event online. Anyone that says anything about him that is negative seems to be apart of this growing group YET, they have been around for 5-8 years? One might say that anyone that criticizes Pete is a "bad character" by virtue of just not being on his side. |  Brentosaur Post One  |  Brentosaur Post Two  |  Brentosaur Post Three  |  Bren...

Keeping Accountability 102

Image
Night Shining the company owned and run by Pete Sinclair recently posted the following free comic for its RoboCon 2021 . And then the following happened: Twitter Post While everything has turned out right in the end , for a person who has boasted that they know how the fandom and fans are, it shouldn't be a surprise that fans notice things and many of them are very supportive of many artists all throughout the fandom. While the original post gave credit to the artists who worked on the free comic, you'd think that the CARE expected would also not have been forgotten on this important detail. Transformers fans have been an incredibly vocal majority online in giving credit and support to artists. Does Pete really know this fandom like he says he does? Was he paying attention when fans ranted about the FT-24 Rouge, Nicee, or the recently AlienAttack Toys OPG-01 all because they were overly sexualized? (All 3rd party products too.) If he's thinking this is special attention bec...

Random Posts in Random Places

The number one problem about BotCon's handling of the social media questions on WHO is in charge brings up a greater problem that is surfacing after a year of no information. There actually WAS some information just not pushed out on their social media accounts. Or if it was on the website it was deleted for newer updates. (One report details something mailed to them.) But these reports are buried in forum posts spread on several different forums in the transformer online communities. And if you are a fan who isn't on the forums or does not have the time to frequent them often, you are missing all the important announcements. TFW2005 AllSpark Tformers If you aren't on each of these transformer news websites OR on the AllSpark News Discord server, then you are missing things that could have been reported but are most definitely NOT where their main social media accounts could easily advertise. Or their website. Our plea is to the fans then, please help us find posts where Bo...

It's Always Been There

This obscure thread from the TFW2005 forum is very telling of how things were as a historical photo into the fans of 2012. Pete the fan was a wonderful person, but Pete the FunPub employee was a different thing entirely. It's a short thread but the final post seals the tale. Click Here to read

Official BotCon Announcement - May 2021

On May 10th 2021- BotCon FINALLY posted to its Facebook page a statement giving detail to who is apart of "BC Productions" that owns the name "BotCon" and outlined who is who on board of trustees. One of whom is Pete Sinclair, confirming what fans had been stewing over for a year. Facebook post It was also then pushed out to their other media account on Twitter,  click here . BUT did BotCon ever NOT say Pete was involved? Did they lie? BotCon never said anything officially for or against it. Fans were actively talking online in public spaces and forums about it, and messaging on BotCon social media to "address" if Pete was working for the convention or not. BotCon simply said nothing. Silence. For over a year. Not confirming or denying. Plausible deniability could be the reason for saying nothing. Or it could have been a detail lost to them since a month after the February 2020 announcement the whole world went into lockdown because of the Covid-19 Corona ...

StasisLock Podcast Interview

On May 8th 2021 -  The Stasis Lock Podcast announced on the TFW2005 forum that they would be broadcasting a podcast that evening to clear the air of who was involved with BotCon 2020 (BC Productions) going forward. They also posted to their twitter social media. The following link  TFW2005 forum discussion post #850  details the initial announcement, the link to the YouTube channel and the aftermath notes taken by a forum member about the conversation on the podcast. Bret Lovell detailed how he was the CEO of BC Productions that now owns BotCon. No one else was detailed to run the convention with him, until the BotCon public post two days later that detailed six individuals.

Keeping Accountability 101

Image
April 29th to May 1st, 2021- Botcon tweeted a transformer toy themed reaction and got random responses from the fandom which sparked the following response from the Botcon social media twitter account: This in turn started a fan after fan response in the negative about the actions of doubling down and a few other fan issues with Pete which merged with BotCon issues. Between the fans who were not aware of the past credit card security leak and the ones who'd been active attendees at the time, it stirred the upset for hours and brought Pete to the platform to confront random posts by searching BotCon as the keyword. He started jumping in and out of responses calling them "lies" and "hateful words" to discredit him and the convention. The following interactions between fans where the most prominent: JarodimusPrime ian_reid aksmth TokuChris And some fans just blocked him as soon as he jumped into their twitter mentions just to stave off the drama before it even st...

Keeping Accountability 100

The previous "Transformers Collectors Club" twitter social media account was rebranded by Pete Sinclair to @TFMatrix. And for several years it was completely fine and free from problems. (If this isn't your experience please contact us at TFCO so we can provide proof and background of other wise.) Gliding under the radar of most fans who did not even know it was him behind the account. When fans on twitter were told they were surprised because many of them were still following the formerly branded TFCC because they were members of the club or had an interest in what the club of the past put out on media. Several of them expressed that they were not aware of who was running this account. On or around the end of April 2021 during a heated back and forth between fans the @TFMatrix account was deleted completely from Twitter. (TFCO is still investigating what the cause and lead up to this deletion was.) From what we could gather, the back and forth started after the Botcon T...

How it Started - Feb 2020

In February 2020 , on the allspark.com transformers news site, it was reported that Karl Hartman announced via Facebook the widely known transformer convention BotCon (once ran and owned by FunPub) would be making it's return and relaunch back into the world.  ( click to view announcement ) The forum went on to chatter and converse about the joy and trepidation of the returning Botcon. You can read about it HERE . The allspark.com website went on to announce that they would be hosting Botcon chatter on their forum, and in the frustration between fans on the forum on the announcement and between the ranks of the moderating staff... where they disagreed, several threads were locked and unlocked. And in the end, the upset between the staff itself, several members of the staff resigned. They published a very public letter. ( which you can read or download here ) Pete Sinclair, former employee (head of PR) of FunPub, who aided in running the previous era of BotCon, went on the forum ...
